Sri Lankan parents applaud 1st Lanka Spelling

Organized in 2 weeks and held at LANKA FEST, the 1st Lanka Spelling Bee featured approximately 20 children.
We are hoping to take the event national in the years to come and provide a stepping stone for Sri Lankan children to compete in other National Spelling Bee Competitions. A big thank you to Ms. Hassina Leelarathna for her support and contributing the idea for the event.

The Nationwide Spelling Bee Regional Competitions are under way. We are encouraging all Sri Lankan children under the age of 14 to take part in the competition. Regional prizes as well as a Scholarship are offered as prizes.
